Choral Composition Competition



ACCC Associated Publishers Award for Choral Composition


The Association of Canadian Choral Communities encourages and supports the composition of new choral works by Canadian composers.

We are pleased to announce the sixth edition of the Choral Composition Competition to be held in collaboration with Cypress Choral Music. The competition provides:
  • $1,500 prize
  • Publication of the winning work
  • Winning work to be performed by the National Youth Choir at Podium 2010, May 20-23, 2010 in Saskatoon, SK

Guidelines for 2010


Open to Canadian citizens and landed immigrants
Entry deadline: June 1, 2009
Entry fee: $10
Duration of the work: Not to exceed 7 minutes.
Type of work: For 2010, arrangements for mixed (SATB) voices will be accepted. Entries may be a cappella or have piano accompaniment. They may have been performed but not published or commissioned for a fee.
