Call for Anacrusis Editor-in-Chief

We are looking for our next Editor-in-Chief for Anacrusis, the official journal of Choral Canada! Anacrusis currently contains peer-reviewed articles, focus columns, special features, non-peer reviewed academic articles, Student Chapter articles, reviews of books and choral recordings, and information about Choral Canada’s programs, services, and advocacy initiatives.

National Call for PODIUM 2026 Co-Chairs and Organizing Committee Members

PODIUM 2026 will be held in Victoria, British Columbia from May 14-17, 2024 and co-hosted by Choral Canada and the British Columbia Choral Federation (BCCF). We are seeking volunteers from BC to fill the positions of 2026 CO-CHAIRS and others from across the country to join the Podium ORGANIZING COMMITTEE. If you are interested in helping to bring PODIUM 2026 to life via monthly meetings and sub-committee work, we want to hear from you!

Entry deadline: January 15, 2024. The 2024 competition is sponsored by J.W. Pepper. The Diane Loomer Award is sponsored by Cypress Choral Music. The Stephen Chatman Student Award is made possible by Stephen Chatman and Tara Wohlberg.

If you would like to submit a blog post, please send it to [email protected]. It must be relevant to the choral and group singing arts sector and community in Canada, timely, national or international in scope, and the authors shall avoid any significant self-promotion or the promotion of a company, product, or performing arts organization in which they have vested interests. Authors must provide a short biography. A high resolution picture of the author is highly encouraged and appreciated. Authors may also include images with their blog. Captions and photo credit are required. High quality images only.
